A standard-size ACL Race Series main bearing set for Subaru EJ engine builds using the centre-thrust arrangement at position 3. Supplier reference: RCM1073.

Features and supplied set

• Tri-metal Race Series main bearings.

• Three-quarter-grooved main bearings, supporting oil flow to the connecting-rod bearings.
• High-strength overlay with reduced thickness for fatigue resistance.
• Increased crush to help retain the bearings in their housings.
• No flash plating on the backs, to assist heat transfer and housing grip.
• Increased eccentricity to support oil-film formation under bore distortion.
• Tight wall-thickness tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances.
• Enlarged inner-edge chamfers where required for performance crankshaft fillet clearance.

Fitment and build checks

The supplier’s EJ-series selection guide covers 1992–2014, with centre thrust specified for engines up to 08/1998 and rear thrust after 08/1998. This listing is the centre-thrust, position-3 standard-size set.

Confirm the actual block-case thrust location, crankshaft journal size, machining and bearing clearances for the engine being built. The date guide should not be used as a universal vehicle fitment rule, especially for converted or mixed-component builds. This is not a rear-thrust set.
