Overview
RCM1511 is a power-steering fluid cooler kit for Subaru Impreza WRX and STI models from 2008–2012, including Spec C. It is designed to help control fluid temperature during demanding use and in warm conditions.
Cooler and hose specification
- 10-row Setrab cooler core.
- Setrab core working-temperature range: −40°C to 150°C; maximum burst pressure: 37 bar(g).
- Pre-assembled Goodridge −6 210 Series hoses with lightweight, abrasion-resistant fibre braid.
- Reusable alloy fittings with nitrile seals and 360-degree swivel ends for alignment.
Mounting
The black powder-coated steel bracket mounts behind the front upper grille using existing mounting points and clips, without drilling the body. Laser-cut and folded construction, pressed core fixings and swaged holes provide rigidity while reducing weight.
The position exposes the core to incoming airflow. The kit is designed to complement RCM’s engine oil cooler on the opposite side of the grille.
