Black top-mount intercooler kit
PWTMIC01B is the black Process West kit for Subaru Impreza GC8 WRX and STI, model years 1997–1998.
Features and kit contents
- 490 × 175 × 90mm intercooler core.
- Purpose-made under-bonnet splitter/shroud.
- Reinforced silicone Y-pipe and throttle coupler.
- Stainless steel hose clamps.
- Mounting brackets and kit hardware.
Process West specifies the matching shroud to direct ambient airflow across 100% of the larger core.
Fitment and installation
For GC8 WRX/STI model years 1997–1998. Check the existing turbo outlet, throttle connection and clearance with aftermarket strut braces.
The fitting guide reuses the original intercooler mounting grommets and factory blow-off-valve gasket.
The 1997–98 kit uses its own passenger-side mounting bracket.
Matching intake option
The Process West cold-air intake for the same model years is a separate upgrade and is not included in this intercooler kit.
